Show Up for Respect: The Paraprofessional Awards Luncheon is Here
Together, we have spent considerable effort demanding that the city and the DOE respect paraprofessionals. This Saturday, March 7, we will be celebrating the great work paraprofessionals do at the Paraprofessionals Awards Luncheon. By showing up, we send a clear message to those who disrespect our work that every role within our schools demands respect.
The Awards Luncheon is our chance to recognize that commitment and celebrate the difference paraprofessionals make in the lives of our students and the strength of our union.
Although online registration is now closed, members who would still like to attend are welcome to show up and register on-site. I encourage you to spread the word and invite colleagues to come out, even if they did not sign up in advance. This year’s celebration will feature breakfast, CTLE workshops, games and prizes, wellness giveaways, and a celebratory luncheon, all designed to honor and uplift our paraprofessionals and create a day of appreciation and connection. I look forward to seeing you there!
In Unity,
Priscilla Castro
