The UFT has begun preparing for our next contract, and this is our opportunity to make sure Unity leads the way! As Unity members, we have a responsibility to set the example, mobilize our colleagues, and make sure our voices are front and center as the next round of negotiations takes shape.
This week, I am asking every in-service Unity member to take three important steps:
1. Complete the Survey!
On Monday, November 2, you will receive the Contract Survey. Please complete it as soon as possible, and no later than November 10. Your participation is essential to making sure your voice, priorities, and concerns are represented.
2. Encourage Your Colleagues to Participate!
Once you have completed the survey, tell your colleagues to complete it as well. We need to lead by example and make sure participation is as strong as possible.
3. Spread the Word on Social Media!
Post that you have completed the survey and tag Unity Caucus on Instagram (@unity_committee), Facebook (@unitycaucus) and TikTok! (@Unity_Cacaus). Show your colleagues that participation matters and help build momentum in our Union.
The more Unity members who participate, the stronger our voice will be in the results. This is our opportunity to demonstrate the strength of our caucus, lead by example, and ensure Unity’s priorities are heard loud and clear at the negotiation table.
